All the commissioners had issues with a food truck ordinance
The Fulton County Office of Environmental Health — a division within the Department of Health & Wellness — issued a press release explaining its shuttering of three mobile food operations in Poncey-Highland yesterday.
It seems that tailored food safety regulations are closely following behind what has become a nationwide phenomenon: food trucks. Santa Monica is the latest municipality to adopt health standards specific to the trendy food establishments-on-wheels.
The Mobile Food Facility Grading Program, which went into effect in parts of the county at the beginning of this year, will now be enforced in all county communities and in cities that use the county's Department of Public Health to inspect and grade restaurant, officials said.
