City Council Makes Changes to City Code

The City is currently testing a pilot program that allows food trucks to operate in off-street locations on public and private property.
The festival benefits “No Kid Hungry,” a summer meals program that helps children get healthy food when school is out, and the Open Air Faith Festival, a local nonprofit for military families.
McAuliffe thinks food trucks are innovators and government shouldn't impede their success, spokesman Brian Coy said.
McAuliffe (D) signed a bill sponsored by state Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Fairfax) and supported by the food truck operators association.
Food trucks, a lot of them, are coming to Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge this weekend.
Food truck parks have taken off in Harrisonburg at two separate locations — on TRUCKS on South High Street and Rock 'N Wolfe on Wolfe Street.
