Austin’s eccentric, delectable, and most importantly, community-supported food trailer scene has seen an impressive amount of growth over the past few years. Trailers all throughout town have garnered national attention in the latest forms of media including print, web and television.
The latest spotlight to shine upon trailers was that of the Cooking Channel’s hit television show, Eat St. James Cunningham, the host, travels North America to locate, sample and share the most mouth-watering street food eats in all the land. Season 1 of the series featured Austin’s own Izzoz Tacos, G’raj Mahal, Lucky J’s, El Naranjo and Chi’Lantro. The sheer number of trailers in the Austin street food scene left a lot of trailers out of the first season. No worries though…
On May 11th, 2011, Food Network Canada gave the green light for filming of Eat. St Season 2! What’s the best part of that this wonderful news? Well, it’s really two-fold. On one side, we get 13 brand new episodes of East St. to salivate over! So, what’s the other good bit of news? They’re definitely coming back to Austin to experience more of our vibrant trailers, which begs the question… When!?
Well my friends, you don’t have to wait long to find out. Paperny Films will be in Austin filming Season 2 of Eat St. from Tuesday, May 14th to Saturday, May 21st! Check out their killer make-your-stomach-grumble shooting schedule.
Tuesday, May 17th – The Jalopy (Lunch | Noon – 2pm)
Wednesday, May 18th – The Evil Wiener (Lunch | Noon – 2pm)
