Two food truck roundups are scheduled for Broward County tomorrow, promising lots of tasty morsels at pocket-friendly prices. The best thing about truck roundups is that you can pretty much please any palate or food restriction. The only people sometimes left our are vegans, who are left to scrounge out the occasional hummus platter. That is until all-vegan Mac’n Food Truck rolled to south Florida streets.
Mac’n is south Florida’s first all vegan truck, with all “cheeses” and “meats” from plant-based alternatives. All sides are vegan and gluten-free and all menu items can be made gluten-free at no additional charge. The truck even has a gluten-free dedicated fryer, so people with extreme food allergies and sensitivities are covered.
The menu varies weekly, but there are always a few mac & cheese options. This week’s menu includes:
- Mac ‘n Cheese Portobello
- Pea & Mozzarella Mac ‘n Cheese
- Fresh Cut Sweet Potato Fries
- Fried Green Tomatoes
- Local Watermelon w/ Fresh Basil & Sea Salt
- Peach Cobbler Cupcakes
There are two food truck roundups scheduled for Saturday, August 27th in Broward:
Food truck tailgate party before the Fort Lauderdale Strikers game. Trucks serving from 3 to 7:30 p.m. include B.C. Tacos, Che Grill, Cheese Steak Gourmet, Churro Mania, Cuban Cube, Daddy’s Grill, Frita Man, Greek Brothers, Latin Burger, Mangia Mia, Moty’s Grill, Mr. Good stuff, Nacho Mama’s, Purple People Eatery, Sugat Yummy Mama, and Wicked Wiches. 1350 NW 55th St., Fort Lauderdale
Party in the Pines offers free parking and food trucks serving from 6 to 10 p.m. Trucks include 4 Alarm Pizza, Chamos on Wheels, CheeseMe, Coldstone Creamery, the Crepe Outdoors, Divan Bakery, Dog Eat Dog, Mac ‘N, Miso Hungry, Moty’s Grill, Mr. Chimi, Nacho Bizness, Nacho Mama’s, Papa’s Tapas, the Red Truck, El Rincón del Coquí, Sir Pizza Mobile, Snow Caps, and Tango Grill. 1650 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines
