The launch of SubPoint this weekend sees street food come full circle and back to its roots. Simple submarine sandwiches – served in freshly baked 9 inch soft rolls – are reinvented with an interesting twist on classic fillings. Beef and horseradish is replaced with a version that includes roast beef, dark chocolate sauce, blue cheese, roasted red peppers and bitter leaf salad which might sound bizarre but we have a feeling it will work.
Other unusual options we can’t wait to try include smoked mackerel with grilled pineapple, shaved fennel and lemon crème fraiche or turkey with Swiss cheese, smoked aioli, poppy seed and apple slaw.
Find SubPoint at Cabbages and Frocks Market this Saturday from 11 AM-5PM.
