The student parking lot at the Cerritos campus is transformed every week into a congested food truck stop

Quick, mobile and with an affordable menu, food trucks - clusters of them - have taken over the streets of Milwaukee.

As food trucks are being chased from Manhattan streets by police officers enforcing a recent court ruling on parking, a group of vendors huddled together Friday on a cul de sac by Midland Beach.

Downtown Raleigh Alliance, said restaurant owners are "very concerned" about the changes.

They’re outfitting old ice cream or catering trucks as mobile kitchens.

The trucks cannot legally roll down the street and serve up lunch at a busy corner, says Hilda Castillo, a spokesperson at the Miami-Dade County Department of Planning and Zoning.

Food Trucks have evolved and their operators are now using Twitter and Facebook to let their customers know where they will be headed next.

Seems everyone in Miami is hungry for sustenance on wheels these days. And mobile food courts are the rage. This week a few of the meet-up locations are changing.

Wynwood Food Truckers Meet Up is the newest food court on the scene, debuting this Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. The round up is headed by Sakaya Kitchen's chef and owner Richard Hales whose Dim Ssäm à gogo truck sells Asian-inspired, organic comfort food.
