Food trucks from around southern Nevada lined up at the Nevada Cancer Institute to sell food and support cancer patients.
2nd District Supervisor Janice Rutherford is designing an ordinance that could repeal the ban on mobile restaurants in the region, which in turn could create jobs and improve the quality of life for many residents while helping the local economy.
The trucks cannot legally roll down the street and serve up lunch at a busy corner, says Hilda Castillo, a spokesperson at the Miami-Dade County Department of Planning and Zoning.
