Alexandrian Meghan Baroody, owner of Meggrolls, is trying to raise $25,000 to take her food truck business to the next level.
They range in price from $3 to $7 and are filled with ground beef, shredded chicken, Mexican chorizo and potatoes, pulled pork and mojo (a marinade of garlic, lemon and olive oil), crab meat and peppers, mixed vegetables with curry and ginger, ham and cheese, three cheese, and lobster, plus two sweet varieties, guava and cheese, and apples with cinnamon.
"What I'd like to see ... is like a food truck court, or a food truck festival, out at the end of MacMillan Wharf."
Across Cincinnati, 2015 was the year of the food truck, and it looks 2016 will be the year many of those food truck owners open brick-and-mortar restaurants.
Twenty’s will offer breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday along with weekend brunch. In addition to the regular menu, popular food truck items will make appearances as specials of the day.
